On February 20th, (now ex) PM of Latvia, Ivars Godmanis, submited his demission to president Valdis Zatlers, writes news portal tvnet. Demission was accepted and president promised to speak to all parties which are seated in Saeima (Latvian parliament) starting on Monday, 23rd of February.
Mr. Godmanis tried to held his Cabinet working as long as he could, however, mission became impossible after world wide economical crises and such strong rejection by Latvian people.
President has thanked Mr. Godmanis for his work, however, he noticed that Mr. Godmanis has not united coalition together for successful work.
Mr. Zatlers has not announced when he will be ready to name next PM. In his interview he said that he is not a clairvoyant, but talks which will be held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, all next week should bring some results.
